At TT Global Foundation, we are continuously exploring innovative ways of becoming financially self-sufficient to be able to create a more significant impact on society.
TT Global stands as the personification of an idea that developed and developing countries should be equated based on their prowess in Information Technology. This vision set us on a mission to provide affordable assets for companies in less privileged regions by repurposing pre-owned IT devices from their financially well-off counterparts.
We also further our vision through our philanthropic arm, TT Global Foundation that provides basic amenities like drinking water, education, financial aid, and medical services to the underprivileged sections of society. It is funded directly by TT Global, and both organizations are doing their bit to make the world a better place.
I had a humble beginning. I was born in the little village of Noinke. Studies were more of a luxury and working tirelessly until one could go to bed half asleep was the norm. However, I am also grateful that God made me live through those days, for they taught me a fine sense of understanding and compassion. If it were not for those days, I might have been at a disadvantage like most people of today’s generation are.
So I worked hard enough at my studies until I was lucky enough to get educated in New Zealand. Then I switched to the University of South Australia for teaching. It was going fine until 1993, when I decided to visit my homeland for a technology talk. What left me stunned was the massive gap between the human resources available and the skillsets prevalent in the Western world. It occurred to me that I should do something good for my people, my community, and my country. With this noble thought in mind, I set myself off to Japan to learn more about technological developments. Japan was then the global hub of all things technology and I used it as a springboard to launch my expeditions to developing countries with great success.
I founded TT Global in 1999 to provide affordable and reliable IT devices to businesses in developing and underdeveloped countries. The next fourteen years saw me working relentlessly towards this goal with a lot of grit and determination. First, I tried to create the basic infrastructure to make professional development more conducive for the industry and it is still in place today.
Second, I launched TT Global Foundation, the humanitarian arm of its TT Global, in 2007 to help the local community avail fundamental amenities like education and drinking water. I had always relished the idea of making the country a better place to live and work for qualified professionals, and this was the best way I could help them hone their skills so they could work their positions up from their challenging beginnings, kind of what I did.
By founding TT Global Foundation, I am marshaling the process of creating and developing more sustainable solutions for people in need so we can all come together and make the world a better place.
